Encountering Survival
An intimate record which bears witness to the act of remembering itself.
Encountering Survival is an audio guide about a community of Holocaust survivors and refugees who made new lives in the North of England. An insight into their memories and testimony, as well as objects that are lost, destroyed or impossible to archive.
The Problem with ‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’
The book ‘The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’ is a best seller, as is the film of the same name. With it often been taught in schools it is important that teachers are aware of the issues and historical inaccuracies present in the story.
