Propaganda

Information, particularly of a biased nature, that spreads a political or ideological cause. During the early 20th century, propaganda was not considered a negative term, but an acceptable way for a government or state to persuade its citizens. This changed after the Second World War. During the 1930s and 1940s, the Nazis exploited all forms of the media to promote their distorted, antisemitic views with the purpose to spread fear and misinformation.
